Zach Slape

Studio Associate/Teacher

I stepped into a yoga studio for the first time in 2019, becoming instantly drawn to the physical practice, the rich community, and the countless benefits to my own mind and spirit. In 2022 I left my decade-long career as an accountant to fully focus on deepening my own practice, and to share it with others. In summer 2022, I completed my first 200-hour teacher training in Puerto Escondido Mexico, studying with Jamie King and Nic Randall.

I’m pretty serious about not taking myself too seriously, and I strive to create a positive and welcoming experience for each of my students. My classes offer a space to explore your limits, to push yourself, to have fun, and to cultivate for yourself the benefits of the practice which exist on the mat and beyond. Outside the studio, I’m often found roaming the parks of Portland with my dog Frodo, cooking a delicious meal, skiing down a mountain, or dreaming of the next destination to travel. I hope to see you in class soon!
