After searching for gentle classes at times that fit my schedule, I landed here, and I’m so happy I did! I’ve tried a handful of classes with different instructors and enjoyed them all. When I’m at FLY, I finally feel safe enough to physically and mentally engage in the true healing of yoga. I appreciate the careful attention they give to their members: locking the outside door during classes, holding a variety of classes offered at different times throughout the week, offering cold eucalyptus towels, writing welcome cards, holding workout challenges, giving discounts for teachers, and allowing easy online class reservations. The teachers are amazing. The energy is electric and the space is very welcoming! They offer both hot and unheated yoga classes! Their membership prices are very much worth it and with every class I attend I can 100% guarantee that I can going to leave the yoga studio better than when I got there! Truly very thankful to find my new yoga studio home in Portland! Go try this place for a yoga class-you surely won’t regret it!
Several years ago I found myself in a familiar rut, and really needing a new outlet and expanded community. Years before I had tried hot yoga, and thought it wasn’t not for me. I’m so, so glad I opened myself up to it again because Firelight has been a grounding presence in my life ever since. The instructors are top notch, and you just get a good feeling about how they feel about being there. The owners clearly put a lot into building community with their members and instructors, and that trust between all of us makes me feel great about going back again and again. When I first started coming to the studio I was only really there in the cool months, but I’m now there year round. It’s actually a little quieter in the summer and you get to spread out a bit more in class. Cheers and thank you, Firelight Yoga!
