Caitlin Dekeersgieter
Studio Associate/TeacherI took my first yoga class in college in 2015 at The University of Vermont and instantly felt at home in my mind and body — I knew that this powerful practice would now always be a part of me. I received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Truckee, CA in 2019 and since then have focused on trauma-informed yoga, completing a training in San Francisco and continuing with my own personal study. I believe yoga is an extremely powerful tool for self-regulation. The goal of my class is to promote and practice self-regulation: cultivating a sense of safety, groundedness, and presence in the body. I geek out on sequencing my yoga classes and methodically planning classes that are intentional, intuitive, and safe for all bodies. There is always a reason why we are doing a certain shape in my class — nothing is random. I want to help make yoga accessible for all with an emphasis on making it a safe, sustainable, life long practice and resource. Yoga aside, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, planning my next adventure, or getting cozy with a book or podcast!
